the journey we've become

the journey we've become
the tide seems to be on the way out...
as the breezes fall stale into the cool night,
on the low horizon, old stars are blinking slowly,
in and out of focus, as their presence and
purpose both spin out of sight
time pauses for its long needed rest...
yet the quiet doesn't feel any more precise,
not that noticing it makes it look so out of place,
but the soul knows that judgment, like justice,
comes hand to mouth, with its sacrifice
what pursuit falls upon a given path...
what prize awarded for the lessons learned,
how many more limits, will we create for the cause,
as we promise ourselves, or pretend, that the
journey we've become, is falsely discerned
far from our sight, is the welcoming sign...
beyond this, thousands more await on the wing,
doubt it if you so choose, to sour the simple legacy...
but the joining, and the joy, is an eternal effect,
as love, and the life, is the song we all sing

maybe it is true
I hope so
even so
the poem so finely wrought
so tasty
sour and sweet
I wanted to lick it off the screen

love this---
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

I trust nature, even human nature

Re: the journey we've become
I trust nature as well... but human nature is a philosophical theory... a discription or opinion, of what a human would be, outside of the influence of culture.
as soon as one encounters such a human, influence occurs, and the nature of that human is corrupted to some degree.
what is more real, is human behavior, which is porbably 99% learned...
and most of what I was taught, was a lie.
