younger daze

while laying awake the other night - i thought about a time that seems somehow magical to me- because it was so long ago- and i have forgotten the things that drove me crazy about them by now-the words and descriptions of the darker places i have been elude me- and sometimes it would seem as if those very same times tell the story again- a happier time we all imagine- not ever realizing that maybe this is the time-that we will all never forget-
i have had these dreams == -when the thing is going the way it is supposed to- there are plenty of people wanting to change it-
or make it belong to them- not giving anything- just taking a slice- just like that--but this is from a time when improvisation was the word- when charm and personality to get you anything-laughter was commonplace= people shared food-- these were times when the sexual revolution were full on- and the summer of love was in the streets-the smell of herb and sweet peppermint oil filled the air with music from janis joplin, jimi hendrix- and the who- i t was a time when getting high was more important than high school.i lived in a big house with a maid and a sister and parents i never saw- i had a dog named 'chip' that used to run away to the ucla library when i was about 9= it was my job to go get him- it was a sweet deal-riding my schwin bike thru the ucla campus to get my dog at the library- apparently - he went there alot-seeing the love -in s the sit in s- i was so excited- all i could think about was 'growing up' faster...i was tall- and hitch hiking was a thing then- like a mode of transportation- people would pick you up- going to the next state- the music was good, the pot even better- and parents suck- as you may have guessed-
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
