the time of its happening

Post by sweetwater » February 19th, 2013, 9:08 pm

you choose - what is referred to as separate reality or the
time of its happening

maybe it only refers to the time of its happening

or

the words themselves proclaim as if to say
what has happened along the way
where have you been what have you seen
tell me what it is that you did mean

it was almost perfect
the sky cloudless for months on end
the sun did shine as the sun could
did all that was expected and more

proof was in the pudding
or was it a glass of wine
or some ancient liquer

or none of which did i procure
but words to say

the worth of plenty
as big as stars or are they small
but as of yet too far to make a difference

to lose sleep
as you are older and wiser
what have you learned ?

the voyage can never be complete
though the voyage itself
is completed

you awake to the sound of perfectly shaped
beginnings

taking yourself with you
you realize only to forget
and remember that you have forgotten

and sometimes to think
these are but words

and moments to say
words are not enough

as if desire can never be quenched
like thirst

the voyage is as pirsig did say

the road less travelled means
we will never find the destination
the destination only reminds
us

that we are running
either towards or away
does it really make a difference

?????????

or there are times
when ... the destination
has always remained as it is

and the same

that we are running
either towards or away
does it really make a difference
would say... they are equal choices,
equal in meaning and purpose

that we are running
either towards or away
does it really make a difference

"la tendre indifférence du monde" '" *Feuerlicht, Ignace, "Camus's L'Etranger Reconsidered

I take comfort in the tender indifference* of the stars
and don't lose much sleep over which way we are going.
thanks for the cool poem
