he made gray out of those black and whites
I'm tellin ya man, he was like some kinda
billy the fuckin kid of the keys
and when he drew down on me
at that show, i lost my breath for a second
when i thought about what I just saw

it was wuz nuthin short of a martial art
only even better than the video where bruce lee
beats a ping pong champ in a challenge match
using num chuks instead of a paddle
and that was badass, so i got to thinkin

maybe this organ player is that other guy
i heard about when i was downtown, you know the one
that guy everybody always talks about, that guy
that put the ram in the ramma lamma ding dong
and I just always assumed he was a singer

but who the hell knows
ain't no one ever seen his face
and to be true, this is really all about the ear
anyway ain't it, I mean it just got me to thinkin
