Dhafer Yousef Quartet

Post by Arcadia » June 4th, 2013, 10:25 pm

Another wander-listening in YouTube: "odd elegy" ... I liked the title, it made me wonder about the fact that with time much of the elegies can be felt as "odd" but they are still elegies, yeah! And that one is beautiful!!!!!

Enjoy!:

what is it about elegies that you find inspirational

?

or even beautiful ?

...

you do have a sense of humour afterall

i should think only to laugh at my own funeral as inclination

how are you doing

did you really post that elegy

are you still with us

?

this isn't something that should concern us is it arcadia

you are not going to say ... run amok today are you ?

anyway the reason to live

is to find out what happens

...

i want to live another day just to find out what happens

Mi amiga,

I went to high school from 1964 through 1968. I was in many bands and most sucked.

However, in my senior year, I was in the best band in which I ever played. The guitar player in that band had some of the fastest fingers I’ve ever seen on a guitar player.

The reason I bring this up is that your choice here is ironic, if only for me.

Yesterday, that guitar player, one of my closest friends ever, and his wife were killed in a car accident. If it's OK with you, I’ll use this elegy in honor of Bill Tyler. :(

So, serendipitously or not, thank you.

CKA,
Michael
