American woman stay away from me
I don't need your war machine

Ship of Fools

ice nine
decadence
and metaphors
for a ship of fools

only science or the cosmetic industry can save us now
a time for the better angels of her nature to kick in
I'm just waiting for the women to clean up the mess
the good old boys have made
so it's
up against the wall red necked mothers
all you mothers who have raised your daughters so well
2014 and it is election season
whoop de do
go ahead and run Hilary run
sure hope you dam well fucking know now what you did not know then when you went along just to get along

Banzai
And the marines would yell
Kill for Eleanor
Where is Emma Goldman when we need her?
I am sick of all the patriarchal bullshit that passes for leadership

keeping the faith in 2014
Columbia the gem of the ocean

women coming up
outta the land
women walkin' on the grass
walkin' the mountains
walkin' next the rivers
& comfortable they are with it
i wake with a heavy wind
in my nostrils
the sound of it filling my ears
from coast to coast
it can be heard in stores & restaurants
in the coffee shops
on the corner and along the roads
in the nursing homes
and in the nursery
in the graveyards
across the fields
along the fences
out in the forests the trees
make room for dancing
the tides go up & down
but the jam only rises
and rises
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

Is it over yet?
I wonder sometimes
if this is hell.
How long can
a thing like this
last? It goes too slow.
It goes too fast.
Is it over yet?
Let us not forget
how difficult
it all can be.
Many days I plead
and cry. It's not
easy being me.

We're in deep freeze, if you please,
We're in deep freeze, if you're not pleased.
Most of country freezes just like I am,
Pray for warm spell to come to our land... :)

I warm up pot of hot chili & simmer it on stove,
To me, in this kind of weather,
Chili is a treasure trove...
We count our blessings as they are,
Still running our 1998 sedan car...

May the Lord's blessings keep you all safe this new year.
Sapppy New Year! :)

Many thanks to Doreen, who makes this jam possible... 8)

Maybe it is over
I heard the fat lady sing
I wish I could get over being me
Sometimes it's heaven sometimes it's hell
sometimes I don't even know myself anymore

twenty degrees today
seventy-one degrees tomorrow
Texas weather is so interesting

It ain't easy being me either
but thanks to studio eight
I can make it

with a little help from the jam

Keep on, keeping on until you see the dawn,
We are moving down blue roads,
Seeing fifty year old "Burma Shave" ads,
Way out beyond Uvalde, TX into the edge of the desert,
Until we see the habitat of Judge Roy Bean...

Yes, I remember that old museum in Langtry, TX
Where the mesquite tree odors permeate the air,
Next to the confluence of the Pecos, & Rio Grande, so fair,
In the misty morning air.... 8)

Here's "Violets of Dawn" by Eric Anderson for you...
I am your afternoon DJ at "WORD"...
Playing folkrock tunes for you, whereever you may be...

One more day
Then back to perpetual
Some dig the jam
Some don't
Thanks Louis Satchmo
& that broken trumpet mike
jammed into a hit
Via a new sound singing
call it Scat
Or the be boppers and
Their iconoclastic jazz sound
Came from the late night jams
Form stifles stride......for me
Opinionated, maybe
I always harken back to a statement by
DaDa artist/chess master Marcel Duchamp,
"I learned at an early age not to take myself
too seriously."
What's this got to do with jam?
I'll leave it up to u
My take on jammin is this a mix of both is preferred
Jam when u wanna let loose
Set pieces when u wanna know where yer going
Both in music and words
Jam on me friends
Jam on you, those who have yet to try
Free your mind, and the rest will follow
Who sang dat?
Free bird ?...I know who sang that one....
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

Everyone, I keep away from DaDa & doodoo & Rap & crap...I cue in music with lyrics & melody...
For that's what makes a hit with me...I like jazz as long as they don't play too damn fast,
When they have a backbeat, I can use it, 'cause, with Dave Brubeck, I can't lose it...
So even nonsense songs are beat, If you get the rhythm, when you get the blues...
Lyrics that make you laugh, if you choose...Hey, Sachmo's fine with me!
Loved it when Satchmo rolled his eyes... Hey, play "Freebird" by lynyrd skynyrd anytime...
"Jammin' , Jammin' , I like jammin' , too..."

my opinion
of opinions
well I just don't have enough bodily orifices to express them all

openhearted jam frees the mind to free associate words as the spirit moves me

not a game for everyone
I call it the spirit game
reminds me of a Quaker meeting
Free your mind, and the rest will follow
Who sang dat?
I can think of two songs One by En Vogue one by the Band probably the same song.

"we knowers are unknown to ourselves, we are farthest from our selves" those words and a hit of acid — that was a life changer for me

When Jesus™ wept and Nietzsche died for my sins

I wish they could all be California girls
En Vogue - Free Your Mind (Official Video)

"Free Your Mind"

Prejudice, wrote a song about it.
Like to hear it? Here it go.

I wear tight clothing, high heeled shoes
It doesn't mean that I'm a prostitute, no no
I like rap music, wear hip hop clothes
That doesn't mean that I'm out sellin' dope no no
Oh my forgive me for having straight hair, no
It doesn't mean there's another blood in my heir yeah yeah
I might date another race or color
It doesn't mean I don't like my strong black brothers.

Why oh why must it be this way
Before you can read me you gotta learn how to see me, I said
Free your mind and the rest will follow
Be color blind, don't be so shallow.
Free your mind and the rest will follow
Be color blind, don't be so shallow

So I'm a sistah
Buy things with cash
That really doesn't mean that all my credit's bad, oooh
So why dispute me and waste my time
Because you really think the price is high for me
I can't look without being watched, and oh
You rang my buy before I made up my mind, OW!
Oh now attitude, why even bother
I can't change your mind, you can't change my color

Why oh why must it be this way?
Before you can read me you gotta learn how to see me, I said
Free your mind and the rest will follow
Be color blind, don't be so shallow…

Why oh why must it be this way?
Before you can read me you gotta learn how to see me, I said
Free your mind and the rest will follow
Be color blind, don't be so shallow... FREE YOUR MIND!

Everyone, I keep away from DaDa & doodoo & Rap & crap...I cue in music with lyrics & melody...
beats me steve, I like both kinds of music country and western
nothing to do with you but I try to
keep aware of anti-Semitic Jesus freaks who want to take a Jew to lunch just to suck up to that mighty smitey desert god cause they are Christian zombies marching as to war and they got a score to settle. If I was a citizen of Israel I guess I would have to tolerate them because they do raise a lot of money for hospitals and other needful things, but as an American citizen I am Leary of them. Especially when they take over as chaplains in military academies like what happened at the Air Force academy a few years ago reminded of catch 22 the novel when all the pilots had to sign loyalty oaths just to get their parachutes. To tell you the truth I wonder what Jesus Christ you are talking about. Is it the same one the Republican Christian Party quotes all the time. Interesting book about Jesus of Nazareth I mentioned before, an eye opener for me.
Jesus h chritz somebody help me I am typing and I can't stop.

oh lordy please let me hit that submit button and sit on my hands for a while

don't mynd me my dear and gentle white brother
I got a chip on my shoulder
just put it down to Jew boy paranoia
I have heard a nigger ain't nothing but a Jew turned inside out

now back to the jam which is already in progress I hope

Still Trucking & Wireman, everyone has their own personal preferences in music.
Music has no color to it. So, let's flow with your go & lighten up...Let's stick around
& not be sticks in the mud & hang ten until things get better. "This too, shall pass..."
"Further on, is into day..." I'm not "open" to DaDa &/or gangsta Rap. Never will be.
But I love "Run DMC". So, as they say, put that in your pipe & smoke it...
"My life was saved by Rock "N" Roll." I like to get silly with Rockabilly...I like music scene
as diverse as Mozart to Tangerine Dream...
You don't have to like what I like,& I don't have to like what you like... :o :!:
But "I love everybody"...as Marshall Chapman sings. We have common ground...8) :)
Try to dig it...

Jam which
Sand witch
Poppies will wake em
All the varieties
From surreal to photo realism
Punk to I dig a pony
T.S. Eliot to St. Jack
Choices like frost on pumpkins
Anything beats working out in
this here freezing cold
Had to put poetry night on hold last night
Frederick-town a sheet of slick ice
4 of us guys read poems at the bar
While some cute girls listened
Was nice, with a distant hip hop background
on the sounds
I like it all too, ST
Coltrane and Miles being the life changers
Along with old Satchmo
When I'm performing my objective is...."Make em dance!"
When u can do it with your words and music
there is no more blessed high I know of....no brag just fact!
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....
