Sure wish I had rocks around here! I have to travel a ways to see rocks that weren't trucked in.

It's not wasting time if it brings pleasure and art.
As a writer wanna be I spend countless hours just sitting on the dock of the bay, and if that act produces an article or story, then that wasted time makes it into the productive catigorey. I view it as time invested.

hiya, duck! after reading your comment about sitting on the dock i figure that there is no waste of time but only time eaten, i.e., time is never a waste but always a nourishment of some good.

btw - stupa is not really applicable in this case... i just used the word. stupas are much more than stacked rocks, which is all that shot shows - stacked rocks... google either of those words, 'stupa' & 'rock stacking' and have a good time!

From time to time I find myself in a stupa or a rock in a stack.

thx, jimbo, for the neat links. but stacking 7 stones in a birdbath i wouldn't say qualifies as the 'mystic approach' to that of a full-fledged stupa. soozen found this link regarding rock stacking -

not one to use the word 'awesome' very much, i think it applies to these stacks. whatcha think?

Allrighty then it's a seven rock stone stacking in a bird bath!
Image

Amazing what folks can do with creativitity.
They travelled the world making sand and snow scupltures for events, their marketing ploy, that it attracts traffic at events.
Image
different from stupas, a different genre alltogether?
not really.
just add a prayer flag, man!
thankyou!
