qualifying the vast unknown

Post by Doreen Peri » March 11th, 2005, 12:13 am

you could go to school and hate your class,
the professor could turn out to be an ass,
you could run to the girl you've always dreamed of,
find out she's got a vast vacant space between her ears,
has no class and spits in her beer
and love could disappear right out the door.
but what are you going to do? be afraid
of every step you never made? what for?
nobody goes anywhere standing still.
should you follow your heart? or follow your will?
what if it turns out the girl is a doll
and you're her prince charming after all?
what if the courses in creative writing
better your talents and make you more
exciting and charming? whatever's
in store is always alarming.
unless, of course, you don't do a thing.
then, nothing will be happening

if you try to qualify the vast unknown,
you might as well stay home.

Cute and fun and funnily done. :)
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse

This one was written a couple of years ago as a reply to a young man who couldn't make a decision about what to do next.

Thank you, ADannon, mousey1, and hester!

I appreciate you reading. Glad to give you a smile.

Doreen... as a current college junkie... I can totally dig it, the delicious rhymes coupled w/interesting imagery made for a great read. Watch out folks... she's at it again! (the people in the crowd go "GASP!")

creative writing classes
can stifle creativity
as most of us are already asses
waiting for the devil's pretty . . .
sometimes it is indeed best
to stay at home and skip the test
because within each heaving chest
is a heart of jagged amethyst
I don't think 'Therefore, I am.' Therefore, I am.

you're back from vacaaaaaaaation??? welcome to the neverending non-class asses-ment for cretinwriting devils, pretty much like a stay-at-home skip-da-jagged-heart-amethyst come-what may stifled periodical with a more-than-occasional pipe-in by the likes of you, you irresistable philosopher, you! :)

Hey but seriously, thanks for reading my lame verse. I tried to rhyme. What the heck. I never claimed to be Ogden or nuttin'.

oh d, you sing to me and we start big wire riots and fierce defenses, people trying to jump the fences, I wrote things, indeed quite senseless I meant this to be a soliloquy and not and acquisition, but man, "I ain't no hip-hop queen" i gave up that position.
