The truth behind it all

Post by Tjflowers80 » October 29th, 2014, 2:16 am

I close my eyes;
my mind won't sleep;
The time just flies;
With these thoughts I keep.

I feel so tired with it all;
I want to loose my sense of care;
To see who will be there when I fall
And when my silence is too much to bare.

I've waited in the cold and dark;
Knowing only one who fits profile;
His conversations gave way to start;
His hope brought out a shining smile.

His comfort melts stress in space and time;
His smile brings me to my knees;
His actions seem to send the sign;
As mine are all to clear to see.

May it be what it seems;
The moon in my darkened night;
May it be more than just a dream;
That brings not only love, but, light.

For I am not much but a simple sin;
Who grows fond of the man you are;
The woman who craves your touch upon her skin
While spiraling to the highest star.

For Adam
And above me the stars align
But not yet with my own
And the night birds sing
Whilst the demon haunts this restless soul.

Your stuff would sound lovely being read, I would think.

"…a simple sin…" Nice image. Is there such a thing?

Thanks for the poem.

i can hear the hilbily preacher sayin- 'nothing simple about sin' and then
the rebel girl gets high and mighty and jumps up on her soap box and has to say how she feels about that-
this poem is so full it is dripping honey off the side of the cup in the sunlight-like bears full of berries in the mounai n tops
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

Thank you both for your replies. And yes there is such a thing because I being the woman I am, am simple to please and simple to love, the only thing is loving a woman such as me can be different in a very naughty way. Lol. Therefore I am as I have spoken upon the page above "a simple sin" lol. Thank you again.

Thanks for your reply and explanation. Yes, I can see that "you" are the sin. My comment was directed at the action of the sin.

I like this even more.
