Jam right HERE.... Write & post spontaneous poetry to celebrate spring!

__________

You who plant ideas in the minds of readers
with verse. You who enrich life's soil by fertilizing
it with thought. You who bloom when poetry assumes
its proper place .... a garden of rhythm & metaphor,
exploring the new birth of spring! Bring your energy,
subliminal and overt, you who are alive, alert, ready
to dance with words for whatever reason. You who
wish to celebrate the season!

Because words which connect with other words can
bear fruit. Because words which unite can flower and
become powerful, springing to life, singing your soul free.
All things being equal as day and night at Equinox,
don't ask why! Ask why not?

OK, we're starting early.
Life is short. Eat dessert first.

.......

This oughta put a spring in yer step.
Heck, get that darn pogo stick outa
yer garage, cause we'll be hoppin'
and boppin', gettin' together in bed
before we're all dead, makin' babies
like rabbits giving birth to dyed eggs.
Don't beg me to wait 'cause I ain't waitin'
for nobody or nothin' any more.
Don yer Easter bonnet, write a fricking sonnet,
do whatever it takes to make you feel alive
'cause spring's gonna bring us some magic!

Post yer pomes to yer heart's content.
Now you see 'em, there they went.
Bring it on! Con the sun to warm ya up!
Charm it with yer big pearly whites
and a gorgeous dream! And don't forget
to wear your sunscreen.

Charlie Parker's the man!
He knew how to jam!
Damn, that's how ya do it,
ya know? Just wail back
and blow!

"You've got to learn your instrument. Then, you practice, practice, practice. And then ... forget all that and just wail." - Charlie Parker

don't go back to Rockville
years wasted test tasted
your fingers carry my scent
your lips my taste
someone forgot the wedge
someone forgot the wax
statues thick coated go ahead and touch
Jenny Jenny the sooner you learn this the better
he gets you high to get himself higher
hanging on your ankle is the best way to fly
never think it is about you Jenny
Jenny the catch all Jenny the witness
Jenny the high fly two tone mistress
Falls church silver spring shady grove
I see the lines crossing in my mind circle stop muted futures

my good man's house has many rooms
he's gone ahead and fixed one up for you
but dont fool yourself, it was never about you

(being in the autumnal cooling southern hemisphere; al be it subtropical)

.

the peace

on the butchers slab

fell before falls felled

trunks and autumns

unpacked

silent colour filled

fall

leaf after leave

embraced in ewes
unbleating

sinews

without sin nor skin

lambsblood drench

fouled enveloping rains

.
.homesick. but homeless.

having given up wives
what's left is
whole warped whores
foolish to look for rain
where snow is predicted
the trance of consciousness planted within ceaselessly flowers
our toes stained with proclamations
nowhere to walk that isn't earth
it's why we need police
and madmen on the moors
slaves of sand
& goddamned in cheyenne
we just go on raising our tombstones
all over the expanse
good morning
goodnight
and all that shit between
that ain't no approximation
the skin of all anything but flint
mingo out -
jam on!
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

And when I awoke,
midnight white had
blanketed, frozen sheets
blown to cover delayed garden beds,
an overcast gray taken by storm,
morning born to return a winter
hush, and much as we await the
great awakening,

no birds sing and yet
we cannot forget
cycles, earth unlocked
by rotation, tomorrow the
Wu Xing assured

by thaw and warmth,
ice melt will come, the sprout,
the bloom, tonight the supermoon
blocked, solar eclipsed

not yet, not yet
too soon
too soon
