I see balance in asymmetry
prefer the random flow of time
that isn't always scripted
the adlib liberation
the pollock splatter of life
enough investment in the art
to demonstrate haphazard wisdom
below the street, above the clouds
in the middle of the middle
there is a heartbeat, or the alien
equivalent.....wire it up
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

love that haphazard wisdom
my dog won't have anything to do with it
he's a creature immaculate with coonhound ways
he don't like people fucking with his paws
he barks at snakes & turtles
but won't kill them
and sleeps a lot
another thing he does
is take big shits
he does those when we
are out walking
and if we go that way a week later
& that shit pile is still there
he will stop to give it a nose over
as if it were brand new, foreign,& bizarre
as if originating
from the bowels
of some exotic stranger
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

had my black lab put down
on christmas eve,
I was very unpopular in my family
that wanted to wait a little longer
but the cancer was a killing machine
and there are levels of torment no dog
should ever reach, I made the call,
this was 4 years ago
and now I am dogless for the first time
and do not plan on going through that any more
Tailor would jump in the water in January
in the Northeast, then shake that freezing
water all over me like she was giving me a present
and yes yes, the landscape dotted with those
monumental dumps, always more epic
than the ones at home, and she could always relocate them
and seemed satisfied that the previous week she had done a really
good job marking her territory....like she had written a novel
or composed a musical masterpiece....those defiant shits
that doggie art
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

yeah, anything is possible as we purge our experiences...in that is a commonality that transcends dog shit....and human shit....rabbit shit....bat shit...it's the most basic element

ha ha...it's all fair game....

Perhaps it was
The heat that
Lightened my bones
Honed to a deeper
Clarity, giggling in the dew
Alan Watts spoke true
Bout nothingness
His words rang clear
Along with all the
Chinese & Japanese
Masters I solemnly revere
Ashes to ashes
Remember to remember
My head was light
Exiting the train
Like a slap in the face
It all came to me
Till the next time i forget 8)

when it comes to hounds
you confuse them
& lose them
double back
raid the hen house
pick, chose,
feast
