Where does it go? Is it gone for good?
What can we know? We can pull our hoodies
over our eyes and cry about it, or let it move
on to the groove of a needle in a vinyl song
but who would worry about such behavior?
Let's jump down off that cross, remove the
nails from our hands and feet, meet this
purpose head on, sword in the side, die to
all the possibilities of not being alive and LIVE,
be our own saviors, give our time to teach others
to walk out of the grave, save ourselves from human
flaws! I hear the sound of the caws of angelic crows:
go forward, go forward, go forward, rise and walk!

Re: Salvation
Direct and Very Good.
I like short and direct.
One of my favorite poets said if he cant say it in 9 lines he is saying too much.
You show your self by helping others
you also show your self if you ignore others.

Re: Salvation
I like this. Great ending with the crows. I can visualize them and hear them because of your writing.

a neo-resurrection poem about surviving, and thriving in this challenging world....

you may end up where you are heading
you may end up where you are heading
