Dare I doubt this fate
Laid before my feet
Am I flipping because it's late
Or is reality of never what I keep?

Things are never as they seem
Especially if I'm the first to fall
Is the hope of love just a dream
Or does he truly call.

When my honor is at stake he is there
But sometimes he is distant, lost in thoughts divine
I can see that he will always care
And I don't care if his spirit is unrefined.

I cannot expect the words I long for him to say
But how I crave the words and love in whole
As we seek each other day after day
Like we belong to the kindred soul.
