overcast
bit of wind
it's gonna rain us out today
but headin' out anyway
to get done what we can
the season for outside jobs
coming to a finish
2 cord of wood
delivered yesterday
got it all stacked
the river dark and
carrying it's cargo of fallen leaves
almost 8 a.m.
gotta go
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

hangin' by fingernails
the world is cruel to old timers
the old knees are barking
like a possessed dog
doggone, gone with the wind
the wind cries Mary, Mary
had a little lamb, Lamb Chop
Chop Suey, so go 'head and sue me
ain't got nuthin' to take
the yolks on you, leggo my eggo
got a new jar of Prego, bell jar
ring it loud like Quasimodo
all us old folk got hunchbacks
and tired feet....what a feat
living a long life
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Call me ibuprofen
Knees aching too
Squats, I don't think so
Rain pouring here
All I wanna do is sleep
So I write
So right
Look at wired walls
Hope the rain don't come in
Fuck the Donald
Jeb too
I'm votin for Ralph Nader
At least he'll talk to me :lol:

read one of Nader's books
impressive man he is, from
good stock...not the kind
at the Dow Jones, the real deal
so deal me in for another hand
I like to laugh at all the new lunatics
in the garden of debate, the donald
is certifiably insane, ben carson lives
in a fantasy world, he makes up the truth
of the day, like a new dish on the menu
the voter special, absurdity can be fun
if you make a game of it, so I listen a bit
here and there so I can gauge the health
of the elite, the parade of fools
chain chain chain, chain chain chain
chain chain chain, chain of fooooools
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Talked with Nader 3 times
At union station DC
Me in my hard hat and work clothes each time
He really asked intelligent ?'s of me
Sincere and real, he was pushing his books
at the news stand and bookstore each time
Not at the Barnes and noble store in the station
Trump is hilarious
What u gonna Do with the guy
Just laugh he has nary a chance
Hillary has a chance now I feel
She sucks up to the money boys just enough
Bernie's got the people, the regular guys and gals
But he doesn't suck up enough to get over the top
Jeb is just plain scary
If Hillary doesn't screw up, we gots a woman in power
Should be very interesting times ahead

heavy frost last night
no wind
what's left hanging of the leaves
on the trees
they just let go
fall now one by one
fence at the edge of
my back yard
rowboat leaning against it
metal floats
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

forties last night
the mums didn't mind
plenty of sunshine this morn
made early run for groceries
gonna hang later with my musical friend
in between giving out candy to the young'ns
will play instruments and sing songs
around the big copper fire bowl
got special treats for the 3 boys next door
good kids, polite, friendly, confidant
moon will be big and bright if the clouds
hold off, but if not, the fire will light
the Halloween activities, and hot toddies
will warm my belly
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Sanctuary of writing bliss
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A freedom that returns
Again & again
Weird music at Starbucks
A beat old cat sits reading
Comfy chair
Duffel bag on floor
He pulls out laptop
Very interesting
Weird music continues
It's All Hallows' eve
Season of change
Baristas babble away in background
A man talks emphatically to a woman
She wears an Indian sweater
He goes back to his puter
3 ancient souls sit conversing at the
Big table, surrounded by boxes
"I was walking with the ghost." She sings
Frank croons, "witchcraft"
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....
9:10 pm.
Finished jack book by Paul maher
Miserable end indeed
46 years since
Ugh
Guess I was in 11th grade
I remember jimi n Janis
Going way before they shoulda
Jim too, all at 27
Ah the 70's
When I first began to write
All of it gone
Or it could be in storage
The wire sculptures floating
Out there though
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....
the things
we leave behind
when the clouds parted
monday morning
thinking about my project
getting my head in work mode
the transition like dripping honey
in my cup of tea, thick, slow
oozing, brain cells and muscle
the old body like a model T, needs
a good crank and a kick in the ass,
no use complaining 'bout the way
things used to be, that was then
now is now, so I force my stretches,
force the gears to mesh, force
the synapses to fire. push thru
the aches and wooden blockages
once the body loosens up, the mind will follow
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
