Needles in my ears
The drum watched over her
In her sleep
Stretched tight
The skin of buffalo
Roamed in her dreams
Tabacco seemed to raise
Spirits that had to graze
The deer had been her kin
That moment when the light came in
She awoke knowing
That that bubble broke
She had been in a womb
Pushing forward
Weaving in a loom
Released from the tomb
Gloom and doom
Returning to life
Art possessed her
Told her what to do
Words and color returned
Every single hue
The brushes took her hand
Kept her awake
This was no mistake
Love came
Opened her heart
Let her know that this was just a start
In her sleep
Stretched tight
The skin of buffalo
Roamed in her dreams
Tabacco seemed to raise
Spirits that had to graze
The deer had been her kin
That moment when the light came in
She awoke knowing
That that bubble broke
She had been in a womb
Pushing forward
Weaving in a loom
Released from the tomb
Gloom and doom
Returning to life
Art possessed her
Told her what to do

Kept her awake

Love came
Opened her heart
Let her know that this was just a start
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
Re: Needles in my ears
immerse yourself in art
sink into a warm tub of imagination
let the process cleanse your soul,
as it creates infinite new beauty
in the depth of your new vision..........

If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Re: Needles in my ears
Oh how the vanishing point loses its horizon
Like the smell of honey
Golden in sunlight
Hands outstretched all over the world
Musical hunger floating like a saxophone
On the breathe of one to the many
There you were
Alive
Listening
Like the smell of honey
Golden in sunlight
Hands outstretched all over the world
Musical hunger floating like a saxophone
On the breathe of one to the many
There you were
Alive
Listening

Listening,
collecting thought...
maybe,
fondling inspiration...
compiling,
spirited creation...
observing,
elusive realities...
at times,
inviting fantasy...
and reveling,
in the memories...

Re: Needles in my ears
Dropping from the skies
A meteor- discarded from a universe
Where it was no longer needed
On this seemingly useless star
New life was born
Sizzling hot- then cold to the touch
Below its magnificent flight
A wish was made
A passing thought
Dreams came to life
Desires were caught
Tight in a bundle
Of sacred energy
The moment was held in the hand of a small child
Blowing a fuzzy flower to the wind
The sun came up
Shining reflections on the ocean
Turtles swam across the reef
A mermaid sought a place to rest
Near the place where he was thinking
The soul would become a new
The shadows tried to sabotage
But these elements had more to give
A meteor- discarded from a universe
Where it was no longer needed
On this seemingly useless star
New life was born
