Living life on life's terms

Post by creativesoul » November 15th, 2015, 2:32 pm

I had a drummer
In my tooth
That pounded beats
Into my eye
I went to the emergency room
They gave me a shot and a prescription
For oxycodone
Until I can see the dentist
On Monday

I am sitting here in Safeway
With my soy chai
Having to wait 40 minutes for fucking pain pills
I am so sick of this
I have been plagued with dental work and large amounts of $
And pharmaceutical doom
I get a stretch where I don't have any problem
And bam
Another problem
It's depressing
When I have that kind of pain
I wish for death
Or someone that gives a fuck
So far it's me that gives a Dick
Friends say " feel better"
Yeah ok I'm working on that
There is a woman talking to herself
A man eating spaghetti out of a can
The street people bum a cigarette off me
I'm tired
I have not slept
For shit
I stole Tylenol
And gloves and a hat
I am beyond insane
I guess I wonder how I ever got to here
The people at the hospital were nice
My dentist returned my call
I just do not know how to handle this life on life's terms thing
I will not tell my sister or my children because I don't want to hear the lecture
About how addictive oxycodone is
It sucks
Why anyone likes this roller coaster ride
I'll never get it
I paid 2000$ for this root canal
And I'm still at the bottom of the barrel
I want to scream
The pharmacy dude says" we have a lot to do"
It will be 40 minutes
Are you fucking kidding me?

That is just how Bukowski would have reacted and you are in good company. Sorry about the dental pain x 8)

medicine ( dentistry included) is a sham in the US...people with nothing expected to come up with thousands....I have med bills from kidney stones that will take years to pay off....and the best part is the threat of your Credit Score going down....who gives a fuck about my fucking credit score...I care about eating...I dig where you are coming from, the aging population will have their hands full.....more ailments, less money.....and decreasing service in the hospital....at the pharmacy....I think communal living makes a lot of sense...like minded folks pooling their resources....creating support, friendships that help each other....but No, we're expected to keep quiet, suffer alone, because that's what the Marlboro Man would do...that's what John Fucking Wayne would do ...suck it up.....eat your cat food, and keep quiet
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
