melting memories

Post by saw » December 15th, 2015, 11:21 am

I don't want to forget this time
when I was idle enough to look
into the mirror with slow eyes
that stare into nothing, into everything

this time to arrange the atoms just so....
atomic intervention is always better
than the slow burn of withering derma
layers and layers of scaling ennui that flake into numbness

this time is special, this lack of urgency.....and
I know it must come to an end , there will of course
be more days of toil til the very end, I will need
to hunt the multi-point green buck

that gets better and better at avoiding my arrows
galloping away with the knowing smirk of a black magician
So, I write it all down now, laze in the pseudo-privilege
of nothingness I choose, cause I can do that once in awhile

I've camped in most of the forty-eight, been to Maui enough
to love the life span of lava in my heart, i want to keep this,
these moments that say so much, but I know it's not practical
too many memories spill over into the fantasy I simply imagined
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
