forget about freddie

Post by saw » January 25th, 2016, 12:37 pm

biggest fear
not freddie
from elm st.,
not a soul
from the shadowy
world occupies
my nights, no
what I dread the most
is my words
drying up, the stanzas
that refuse to come,
my thoughts
laid to rest
like skulls
on the desert floor
that I stumble over
on my way back
to the next creation
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

there is a tremendous feeling of loneliness when the words decide to hide.

nice write.
When we speak we are afraid our words will not be heard or welcomed. But when we are silent, we are still afraid. So it is better to speak. ~ Audre Lorde
