faces of the blade

Post by saw » June 26th, 2016, 11:16 am

through the slats of perception
I peek like a voyeur with a bloody jones,
I'm looking for more than I already know
in the crumbs of hidden feasts left on ancient tables

there is more than withered epidermis to see here,
the pathetic paparazzi always miss the salient underbelly
the essence of biorhythms, changing their tempo
the bold breath of a warrior lover unchained

swash-buckle me into delirium tonight , step in brother
in emerald green tights, with an Errol Flynn cockiness ...
Enguarde !......let the the clank of perfect steel
awaken me like a sharp point of contentment

I can no longer picture the world with these old eyes...
once beggars, they ride like rebel insurgents
'cross the fresh plains handled like razor sharp ponies,
Spartacus......is in my head tonight.......in my heart.
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Gosh... I could quote a lot of your poem's lines but will just say...it pierced me. Applause!
Freedom's just another word...
