Strange Insects

Post by the mingo » September 1st, 2016, 9:18 am

end of August
strange insects
newly emerged
traveling in unfamiliar bodies
the vacated husk of the old form,
still attached by a thread &
stuck to a back leg,
dragged along behind

Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

Ours around here have been in the ground seven years ,the squirrels love to pounce on them before they dry and can fly. Interesting they live to mate ,go figure.

bug of the month, my sister used to call it

love how this captures the alien-ness of insect life
