We shall not rest.
We shall not yield
against forces of tyranny,
this wave of hegemony,
this tide of freedom.
Let no evildoers deny
Its sacred contracts.

Re: The Military Complex
it is a very complex issue
how we got to this perpetual war perplex
but we will never understand it
by studying war
self fulfilling prophecy
has a strange way of
becoming the media complex
Hollywood is the end of the world
or maybe Hollywood will blow itself up

Re: The Military Complex
Not a poem, just "snippets" of long-instilled language with enough psychological leverage to give us a Complex. It was going to be a much longer "cut-up," but time ran short ...
Re: A Military Complex
.....ELO said its raining all over the world......or in the illustrious words of Edwin Starr, "WAR...what is it good for?"

me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

Re: A Military Complex
excellent comments. it's a complex. It's given us a complex. it's a globally-integrated system/capital machine, and yes, the subject referenced herein has for quite some time been a pillar of the economy. the great juggernaut, the self-fulfilling, self-justifying, self-propelling great riding mower of world geopolitics, and yes, hollywood is in on it too. on the payroll. how can you not get a hard-on watching all those huge computer-generated explosions on all those large screens?

Re: A Military Complex
The people that run Hollywood what can I say, it was better when people told stories by the fireside. I can imagine what Mark Twain would have said about the Hollywood version of tom Sawyer. Maybe that is not the best example of how Hollywood mangles novels. For every good movie there is so many bad ones. And we can never forget the worse movie ever made, it was so bad it was a real comment of Hollywood. And why did we need all those war movies, that I grew up with. No wonder I became a poet.
