it's all down hill from here
rolling around that lazy old sun
shinning down on me
If you can't give me love and peace, Then give me bitter fame. — Akhmatova.

I lit the tree.
I drank the egg nog.
It’s Thursday.
I forgot to take the trash out.
I’m going to take a bath.
Nobody’s here.
Not even me.
4:30pm and it’s already dark.
I can’t wait for spring.

The tree is really a potted bush.
Well, some type of potted pine
which they claim will survive as a house plant
but it won't, because it's a tropical plant.
I don't live in the tropics.
Darn thing will die on me.

Like everybody else.

Oh holy night,
the air is crisp and cool,
there's frost on the windows.
Oh holy night.

The sky is clear,
stars shine through
a black background,
like holes were punched
in a piece of velvet.

Holy holy holy
velvet.

Oh holy night.

"It tis the night of our dear Savior's birth", soon & is the end of Chanukah?
Then there's Kwanzaa (sp) Season's Greetings to all & have a happy night. It's chilly & misty down here in Chattanooga, TN. I've just finished my Christmas shopping...
The Christmas tree was up on Sunday & finished decorating on Monday. It's artificial, but the deco is real.
Christmas cards are sent out. (Yes, we actually send them out) So, here's my Seasons Greetings to all of you. Shine on old Solstice Moon. :D 8) This is the winter of 2017...We gots to bring love back on home.

so-long the sun the moon and the sky
wish I had some Hannukah candles to light
but I got my san antonio roses's electric Yahrzeit candle.
going to light that
probably blasphemy
I give up on hell,
no body in my family ever threatened me with eternal damnation.

god dam Nietzsche
I can't get him out of my mind.

I need the dark

a season of lights and darkness
to celebrate the planet's tilt
wobble wobble
the wheel goes round
bound to cover a little more ground
dr strangelove and his dooms day machine
is telling me to treasure the good times
so lettuce let them roll

2 pm, and the sun so low
it shines horizontally through the trees
my daughter's breath explodes in a cloud
coughing from her lingering cold
let's turn back, she says
barely a mile, I think
but the going is slick and icy
and she's become acclimated
to California's clime
so we round up the dog
and head back to the car
why oh why
does she only visit
on the shortest day of the year?

On Seinfeld?
Well I'm gonna celebrate
with some friends
Remember all those Christmas pasts
No family now, daughters in Michigan
Everyone else is gone to the everlasting
Thai and sushi restraunts open in
evening the 25th here.....yahoo!!!
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

Festivus, the holiday for the rest of us!

:)

Good idea to go out for Thai food.
Hadn't thought of that. I'll be all alone
so might as well Thai one on!

:D

Enjoy!
