this room

Post by saw » February 10th, 2018, 8:06 pm

this room makes me happy,
I had something to do with every angle
I sat in every corner before i swung my hammer
the images were four dimensional

this is not a boast
but it does happen to be the truth
as I know it, never been one to sleep with
fake news el presidente

excuse my contemporary language
I guess by osmosis, I became a modern man
a neo-male that swallows the jargon
then regurgitates it into a poem

I didn't want to succumb
to pop culture...I never told my ears to listen....
my ears might have a mind of their own
if auditory organs can transpose from one key to another

hell, my ears might even tell my mind to go fuck itself
please Lord deliver me from alternative facts
as a wise man once uttered, fake news is in the eye of the beholder
I'm still happy in this room....this room is real
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

I am happy with your poem
like a room of ones own
to read in 8)

I learned a new word
kakistocracy

well its new to me but it has been around for a long long time
I have read nothing is new beneath the sun
I used to stand in wonder'
now I only stand

Damn! What a poem... yes! this one.

I was unprepared for this read.

How does anyone "prepare" for the unexpected?

The first four lines did it... but wait!

the second four was it.... until I read

the third four lines... yes! yes!... but

no. no, it's the forth four lines... yeah! bingo!

wait... those last four lines...???

fuck! it's all one poem, Cecil. you know...

yes, but I pick the last two stanzas... these

conclusions can be tough when choice is not obvious

but who cares at this point.

A simple thank you, SAW MAN, would suffice.

So I say, Thank you! Thank you for this...

Truck: I learned a new word
kakistocracy

I doubt I'll remember this word so I'll post it somewhere to remind me that such a word exists.

It's an important word, for sure.... one that every American should know means exactly what a pseudo-president is...

TY, amigo..

...because this is so shiny I'm gonna say "aw, damn genius " - but because I'm so jealous simultaneously I also must say " saw, go fuck yourself" 8)
