When you think about War

Post by mnaz » May 1st, 2018, 2:31 am

For centuries that was the solution.
Just crack em if they get in the way,
the Cave Man thing, cracked skulls,
a mark of Cain ever since.

And when in Rome hang em on a cross
if they incite doubt about who controls.
Take slaves and feather your empire.
Pay them nothing; that is reasonable.

And two thousand years later you'll
read Bible verses about how holy and
inevitable all of these sacrifices were,
and you'll make up your own mind.

an uncomfortable topic for most
but it cannot be denied...no slaves...no pyramids
and on and on and on..
one of the biggest slaves populations
is the prison system...inmates
are not subject to The Fair Labor Standards Act
more than half of the 1.5 million prisoners
work for free or for pennies
completing just about every job imaginable
40% of the firefighters in one big wildfire
in California were prisoners...and on it goes
they might make holiday products for Starbucks
or uniforms for McDonalds...I'm sure you've heard
the term The Prison Industrial Complex...which
might make one wonder why we lead the world
in incarceration....hmmm....
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Incarceration Nation. I bet the industry is pissed about all those states legalizing pot ... This business of World Empire-ing. A long, pretty awful history. The more U learn, the less U want to know. Lately, the powers that be are even talking about suddenly pulling our troops out of the Middle East. What happened to the claim that it's absolutely imperative they remain and fight, "even if it takes a hundred years" ? (Yes, back in the Bush years and even into the Obama years I heard that sort of narrative constantly.) Jeez man, what are these people doing?
