Tree Hugger

Post by mnaz » November 23rd, 2019, 10:08 pm

The first tree hugger, Marilyn Monroe,
was a misfit in the Nevada desert, 1960.
Clark Gable couldn't believe his eyes.

The first tree hugger was a loud idiot,
smarmy, alarming, you know the type,
always trying to save the rock.

The first tree hugger was born again
and again, and the tribes spread out.
Some said god gave them the land.

The first tree hugger was a moment
between art and brutal efficiency,
just this side of full naked pillage.

jam-log
of quantum space; time and physicality
colliding with the branches
entwined alighted
by lightning
of thundering self-needinglings

.

the eye of the needle
looks at the thread

when I think of tree hugging, I always come back here....and the way it all began....with a steering wheel in her skull...too strange to not be compelled... 8)
