trampolines

Post by stilltrucking » February 12th, 2020, 5:47 pm

What do women want?
Smart people stoopid choices
what is it that everyone wants?
how about power?

emperor empress of their own phylum
an autocrat of the self
diana moon glampers meets myrna minkoff

Anna Akhmatova meets Sylvia Plath

the proper study of mankind is man
Passions, though selfish, if their means be fair,
List under reason, and deserve her care;
Those, that imparted, court a nobler aim,
Exalt their kind, and take some virtue's name.

I heard a saxaphone today
for what felt like the first time

a mind is a terrible thing to sell
right livelihood epiphany

I hope I die behind the wheel
Because I don't mind driving

December 7, 1941 first step
my homeboy told me I never crawled
But on my first birthday, I got up and walked

going to start a new religion
based on the rock of family and friends
because "Beer is good, God is great, and people are crazy"

This old man and me, were at the bar and we
Were having us some beers and swaping 'I don't cares'
Talking politics, blond and red-head chicks
Old dogs and new tricks and habits we ain't kicked
We talked about God's grace and all the hell we raised
Then I heard the ol' man say
"God is great, beer is good and people are crazy"

Yes, they could be contemporaries in different places, I guess
my father and your grandfather were comrades in arms
You think this is bad?
this ain't so bad
Just Add Buddha!: Quick Buddhist Solutions for Hellish Bosses, Traffic Jams ...
compared to what?
the father's nightmare is never over I suppose.

we could be contemporaries in different places I guess
except we are not, I will never have a daughter
but it is never too late for sisters,
if not for my sisters I would be a homicidal maniac
I despise men
but I am a walking contradiction
because I am grateful to have been created a nonwombman

I suppose it is part of my disease (Aspergers)
that I get fixated on a subject
this currently what I am reading and reading
The War That Ended Peace
The Guns of August
A World Undone
The Sleep Walkers
A Short History of The Great War
The Romanovs
A People's Tragedy
To Hell and Back
The Deluge
1919

I would delete it, but there is the thought
I suppose that is why I became a Quaker.

still trucking: Wonderful picture of your sis at school. Great music clip. Hopefully, you and yours stay safe from this awful virus.

We are pretty much in "lockdown" here. But, I was allowed to take the lawnmower to be repaired. Takeout is allowed at eateries, but libraries are closed. I wonder when this "covid-19" will flatten out, so we can get back to the "new normal."

stay safe steve, I am doing my best to just live it day by day, I am determined to be in it for the long haul No matter how many months it takes to get beyond the virus. Listening to the advice of the many doctors in my family, all in accord that it is going to take months for this to pass over. waiting for more data.

in the meantime life is good
even if I am going crazy in 3/4 time
