Steve had to have quintuple bypass surgery today. He should be out of surgery several hours ago and in ICU on the mend.

Please send your love and prayers! Our poet with a beautiful heart of gold needs your support!

Much love to you. Steve... I’ve been there with you in my heart and mind all day! Please check in when you’re able and let us know how you’re doing!

Studio8 loves you! ❤️

Beautiful thread, Doreen.
Sending wishes for an easy post-op. For good pain meds. For pleasant moments as often as possible.

Music for Steve Weaver (our loved Blue Cowboy)
There is a Time by The Dillards - YouTube

Lyrics
There is a time for love and laughter
The days will pass like summer storms
The winter wind will follow after
But there is love and love is warm
There is a time for us to wander
When time is young and so are we
The woods are greener over yonder
The path is new the world is free
There is a time when leaves are fallin'
The woods are gray the paths are old
The snow will come when geese are callin'
You need a fire against the cold
So do your roaming in the springtime
And you'll find your love in the summer sun
The frost will come and bring the harvest
And you can sleep when day is done

Surgery went well! Today’s update from Steve’s partner, Susan (as posted on Facebook)
Hello Everyone, Steve's surgery was successfully completed about 2:30 PM yesterday and he resting comfortably now. He was alert enough this morning for the nurses to hand him his phone, but he may not be able to speak until later this afternoon.

This means he is probably able to check his Facebook page so leave your messages here.

Due to the complexity of the operation, if you have any questions, please investigate them on-line. The explanation I prefer is that Steve had a quintuplet by-pass where his heart chakra was opened and new plumbing placed inside.

This operation was for the best and will be a life enhancing event, of this I feel certain; he's been given an upgrade. In a few months he will return to the physical activities he's always loved, and to his friends and family that he loves even more.

During the time of the operation, I was not allowed in the waiting room, nor was anyone else, so I went to the garden store and bought beautiful new plants to decorate the front porch and back yard. While there I bought a big vanilla snowball and ate it on the way home. Just as I finished the snowball, the surgeon called with the good news. When Steve returns home, he will have to remain downstairs for awhile, so I have been making changes to accommodate that part of his rehabilitation. He maybe in the hospital another week or more.

Susan

So glad to hear the great news.

Please pass on to him I also have missed his strong poetry and know he'll have so many new pieces to share with us.

Thank you, Susan (my wife's name also!) for keeping the board informed.

Wonderful news - I guess karma can work in both directions!

Steve was one of the first S8'ers to welcome me here. I have not forgotten that.

the healing process is the bodies insistence that it heals at your response and how much you allow that process to do it's job.

IOW. listen to your body closely... and hear what you need for full recovery.

You can-do, my friend... Stress is not to be tolerated. As this border town says "calmate"... keep calm.
