New Rolling Stones

Post by singlemalt » September 26th, 2005, 5:08 pm

I obtained, I mean, heard, a few tracks from the internet. The first two (Rough Justice and Let Me Down Slow) are damn good.

Discuss.

I heard it was a really good CD.
I'm going to get it.

Another thing I read... a Washington Post review. The reviewer said, "If it makes you sick to hear sexagenarians singing about sex, don't get this CD."

;)

Good to see you, scotch! :)

I saw they're photos on the cover of the Rolling Stone the other day. Man, they're all getting up there. But still.... I think they're sexygenerians. :)

Hey, DP.

I've still been keeping tabs on S8, even though I haven't posted in a while. Busy with job, kids, etc.

Any yeah, they're looking a little old, but Keith has been looking old for a while. But the music still is great no matter what they look like.

And, I heard that the Dylan documentary is on PBS tonight. I never was a big fan of his, but the doc is supposed to be amazing. Now, if only the kids would let me watch it. . .

Say Hi to LR.

Yeah, the Dylan documentary is on tonight and tomorrow night. We're planning on watching it.

Keith is probably the oldest living junkie, isn't he? Usually people die way earlier than that after so many years of abuse. Mick's been my favorite rock star since I was 16. I used to have his pictures plastered all over my walls when I was a teen. My parents and even some friends thought I was nuts when I said he was the sexiest man alive. But you know what makes sexy? Energy! That's what! And boy does that man have some energy! Even at 64 (I think that's how old he is). Wish I had a little of it. ;)

Well, you stop by when you can, y'hear? It's great seeing you. Miss your posts. I miss a buncha people from the old litkicks. Fun days!

I'll tell LR you said hi. He's napping now.

I bet Mick and Keith take naps in the afternoon, too. ;)

i talked my son out of going to see them...he spent his 200 bucks on a new bass instead...i told him he would be disappointed, that with him listening so much to late 60s early 70s stones, they don't sound like that anymore, they're all 'popped up', and it would be a waste of money

of course the returns were they were great, and closer to early 70s stones than the 80s/90s bad stones

damn...now i'm wishing i had gone

I saw them several times. I can tell you that they absolutely did not disappoint. They put on the most amazing show you can imagine. Unless you can imagine naked women handing out free money. Other than that, they can't be beat. Your son may never forgive you.
