Yes I know some of you don't understand cars but Frances has a...Spirit inside her....
I called my very first car "Shez'us" because her license plate began with SHZ. I loved that car.
My current car is a 97 Honda CRV, the very first ones to come out, and I love this car as well. She runs well, gets great gas mileage, can carry a lot of "stuff" (teenagers, my bird cages can fit in the back, etc.) plus, she's fun to drive. I love this car.
Last year it got stolen and I said to my husband "If they don't chop her, she'll come back to us." And sure enough, in a little over one week, she did.
Seems the thief liked my car so much he had decided to keep her for himself. (And remember, this is an older car!) He had even begun personalizing my car with special skull and cross bones license plate holders and personalized CD holder with CD's and such. ~laughing~ My guess is he must have fallen in love with this car, like I had. Because what the heck was he thinking in keeping this car for himself, it was stolen! But because he liked the car so much, he ended up taking good care of it while he had her, and for that I was most grateful.

Fixing up and maintaining old cars... one neighbor is refurbishing a 67 Mustang convertible, and another couple I know has 2 40's fords that they're restoring. Two others have those classic 70's Cameros from their teens that they are keeping, can't part with ...
My theory is, when we put, pour our love into things, including these rolling hunks of metal ... others can feel it, pick up on it, and it makes/leaves a lasting a difference.
And my other theory is we humans just love to love things; cars, special writings, poetry, paintings you name it - we can love it ... it's what we do best, and it's as normal and natural for us to do as breathing.
So, I don't doubt at all that Frances has a "spirit" inside her.
