Up in the morning before the sun
Night the best time a day here

I check the tree before my garden for peaches
Never a peach
But I keep looking
I think it is an oak tree

the mysteries of human collectiveness

how come those verses that mean so much to me
can matter so little
to the hearts of others?

No idea Jeremy, it is a morning mantra to me.
Somedays I can’t seem to get going with out a cup of coffee, a cigarette, a j, and that song. Like Buddhist chanting
that winter is just sixth months away.
I think hope is born in winter.

Friends linger
A sweet lingering it is
missed ya
I have not forgot I sent you theat PM first
thank you for your kind reply
this is a silicon journal for her

I greeted a summer morning
with all the poems I'd lost
running through my mind;
steamy words, sweat-drenched.
When I tried to write them down,
they dripped off the page.
I am swimming in poetry
but my words have taken
a dive into an empty pool.

I was listening to Bob Marley Kaya but after I read Doreen's post. This song popped into my thoughts

"I hate graveyards and old pawn shops
For they always bring me tears
I can't forgive the way they rob me
Of my childhood souvenirs"
Souveniers JP

I made a back flip
into the gene pool
My form was perfect
The pool was empty

I swim in an ocean of poetry
I walk in beauty
I dream of the girls in their winter dresses
I want them all

There ain't no cure for the summer time blues

Lazy day.
Played with a caterpillar.
Watched an ant colony.
Soaked up rays.
90 degrees in the shade.
Evening fell.
Hosed the garden.
Swept the deck.
Steam rose from a concrete patio.
You could cook an egg on the chaise.

Remember when summer seemed to last?
School's out, book bags tossed into the trash?
The length of a day shortens after the solstice.

I am now approaching autumn.
My hair is turning grey.
Time to slow down and measure a moment
with the turn of an hourglass.

Walk carefully on the shoreline.
Leave footprints.
But realize they will
soon be washed away.

morning brings me to caffiene
which i mostly spell wrong
i want to taste the day
i hesitate
and falter
i'm just that way
but never fear...
i will make my move
get in the groove
and face the sunshine
and the hot
sweaty
race
i hope to see miracles
well..i did ...
i got up didn't i?
read me, but don't play me backwards

summer hummer

Post by faithmairee » June 21st, 2006, 3:02 pm

autumn will come
soon enough
i can not think
of it now
i stand still
watching the
lone hummingbird
hovering near
the firecracker
bush beside
the old shed
in my backyard
There must be a poem in here somewhere.

I can think of autumn anytime
It never brings me down
Autuman means a harvest

Summer is for gardens
My zinnias coming on strong
Tomato plants struggling
I wonder what's wrong

Every sunrise grows brighter
every sunset more splendorous

I dont know if I have a favorite season anymore.
But summer is a season of love.
This is my summer of love
year six

mid day and getting warmer
ac not on yet
windows open
jasmine in full bloom
her fragrance sneaking in

mockingbird off in the distance
calling for a mate
not a cloud in the sky
doing laundry and reading posts
smiling

South Texas in Summer
made for mad dogs and Englishman
Closed the blinds
Siesta time

Summer is kind to geezers with A/C
the quadrange is empty,
all the old women have retreated from the heat.
They have been out all morning watering their gardens, walking their dogs and cats, visiting with the neighbors

I will take a nap and probably dream of semi colons.

edited once to put some line breaks
bad punctuation forces me to use CR's to make it readable

A pleasant scene
as mother nature masturbates indiscriminately
bees fucking flowers makes me sneeze
and a summer's breeze hot breath on my neck
teases me with incessant scents of erotic pleasure.

I close my eyes
to savor
mother nature’s flavor.

My eyeballs explode inwards
the devil's minions ride out of the skies
flamethrower dicks at the ready
burning everything in my sightless mind.
Raindrops fall bringing acid filled destruction
the PH level bottoms out rubbing mother nature raw.
She screams at the forced anal rape.

Cities crumble, blood splatters to the sky.
Mangled flesh picked by buzzards of opportunity.
Nerve gas releases un-nerves me.
Water runs red in streams of hopeless pandering
to the man with the plan.
Hard dick enterprises for profit
running to angry seas filled with troubled water daydreams.
Waking from my nightmare delusions
I smell the carbon monoxide in the air.
Sticky shit revelations as mother nature
pulls up her panties and hobbles off.
The court of indecision won't hear her case.
