Because the Michigan Congress can't get the budget in order, we're shutting down on October 1st!

Its official, Michigan no longer gives a damn.

We're also reviving the Michigan secession movement. Its obvious that we can support a sustainable nation-state all on our own.
(what's the point of being the United State's high five if no one appreciates us?)

The blame rests solely upon foreign cars or the unions.

hester_prynne - Unless the Michigan legislature can agree on a budget by noon Monday, our government (Michigan's, that is) will have to shut down. As far as seceding goes, there are people who support it, but they're generally crazies. Its more of a joke than anything.

Dave The Dov - Speaking of the Upper Peninsula, the deer hunting season starts on the 1st. I don't know what they're going to do with the DNR and all that not running. Anarchy in the U. P.! I think New Jersey and Montana shut down for a bit last year as well.
