Ferlinghetti was a warrior
who walked the streets of Nagasaki
in August of 1945

the united states had just snapped some pictures
with it's new hot atomic camera
&
He saw the shadows on the wall
How is that for ptsd?
how is that for epiphanies?
He said that was the day he became a pacifist
It is a tough job but somebody has to do it
always plenty of wannabe christian soldiers
never enough heretics
&
"The blood jet is poetry"
it is the continuity of the blood
in our veins
&
Before us
who were the chosen one's

So
perpetual jam
turns a page

What's the page expectancy of creativity and comment?
Over how many theoretical pages—
Over how many Watts and how much voltage—
Drawing in from ever corner connected to the powergrid…
What’s the page expectancy for thought in the postmodern whatever-this-is?
Sixty-five pages…what is that in writers’ years?
A minute moment or loooooooooooooooooong?
Sixty-five pages…but no calls for retirement; no early-leaving compensation.
No social security.
Comparing these pages to life expectancy…
Have you ever seen art from Haiti? Fine Haitian art—it’s magnificent.
No formal schools, no world-renowned museums to visit…
Just the land of Haiti
The Haitian people(s)
Haitian faiths
Haitian corruptions
Haitian spices
Creole art…whose artists have a life expectancy of somewhere in their 50s.
Let’s go back over the last fifteen pages…
What would we lose to lower life-or-page expectancy?
How macabre…
That might be a bit of a downer…I still have to get ready for Hallowween.
"Every genuinely religious person is a heretic, and therefore a revolutionary" -- GBShaw

every breath
a wordless prayer
to a god who is not there.

There It is
as good as it gets
for me when I am here.

Pantheism?
a new word for me today.

You know more than I do about IT than I do joel
I got no answers
only questions I don't know how to ask

I guess I'm just an idiot
who sees the world in twos
I guess I'm just an idiot
who sings the backward blues
I guess I'm just an idiot
who wants to make life rhyme
I guess I'm just an idiot
but idiots are sublime...
or at least blissful

kick off your shoes
and do the toe jam blues
and a one
and a two
and a
ee eew
(hastily puts shoes back on)

a powerful prayer I am sure.

mouses to the rescue
ducks paddling out to sea
souls alone still flying
trying to find some sanity
so you pluck a little laughter
from a cursed old figgy tree
make the best of nothing
walk on rainbows, feeling free
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse

"like water off a duck's back jack
seriousness not meant for the likes of us"
Cecil Lee from a long time ago.
probably a mangled quote from geezer memory

she was a polish peasant woman
the most powerful woman I have ever known
she stood watch over me as a child
on guard against the evil eye.

"I do not will him to be exceptional.
It is the exception that interests the devil"

sylvia plath poem for her son

goodnight sweet princess

You can never find a quantum theologian when you need one
but Spinoza's god was good enough for Einstein and Santayana
and IT is good enough for me

sorry about the quotes j

blue....blue....blues
back with the blues
left with 'em too
last night saw
mali blues masters
tinariwen @ GW Lisner
20th street DC
2night baltimore irish fest.
@ the cow palace timonium
extreme blues
chk. out tinariwen ST
wild toureg rebel desert nomads
weilding electric guitars
like dynamite
in the nation's capitol
the place erupted into dance
me in a wired trance
and blue with my leg in
a stocking to keep
the swelling down
blues in me rising
reaching irie heights
where only jah knows
that these blues is indigo
yet the powdered ones
are just over the horizon
and music is gonna save
the break-a-day
givin' you my blue....blue
...bluest.....blues......

But I can’t wait and I don’t hate no-moe
So I go to dis jam wit the no beat prosody gift dat the da good lord gim-mee

Ah what a sight
Wireman with his leg in a stocking
I try to imagine the sceen.
Was it a blue stocking you was wearing?
Was there any bluestocking womb-min dere?
Looking ats yous their calm steady gaze??

I got them ole pecan autumn blues again
And the living is easy
With da help of a few friends
A hootchie ku from the mousey one
And the blues from my jitterbug homeboy from baltimore
Life is good
.

the truest bluest blues ..................>>>>>>>>..

been so long since I have seen that look in a woman's eyes, no smile but open and honest expression of interest and a calm level look in her eyes. Nothing erotic about it. Except my heart would stop.

Take care of your self wireman

I need you for the long haul
