John Cuneo's magic circus

Post by stilltrucking » March 23rd, 2008, 1:21 pm

where the tigers did not bite &and the elephants did not kick
That's what he told me when I hired on as the driver of the elephant truck.

Just big old gray cows,
weighing in at three tons
and he was right
never got kicked once
have you ever been head butted by a three ton animal?

He gave someother good advice which I wished I had followed.

"Never get in a tug of war with an elephant"

Did he tell me that before or after she punched me out with her trunk?

I never got butted by a three-ton cow,
but i once got spit on by a llama.
It didn't hurt, I'm here to report,
but it caused some emotional trauma.
A llama's spit smells like shit,
in case you weren't aware of it.
A full suit of armor is recommended
for those who must take care of it.

I always wanted to join the circus
did I miss my chance?

elephant turds smell like roses
to me
woke up one morning from a dream and my bedroom smelled of elephants

now tiger dirt
oh my
the essence of ten thousand uncleaned kitty litter boxes

I remember from your ken burns documentary that
you were up on the high wire

I loved to watch the riggers
get ready for the show
the guys that assembled the high wire
and the trapeeze

Speeking of getting spit on
When the they urinated on, like a fifty five gallon drum being drained.

When I had loaded them in the trailer, the four adults I had to crawl through their legs to wrap the chain around and hook it to the emmbeded
rings in the stainless steel deck of the trailer

Which worried me more than getting stepped on was getting p*ssed on

sweetest dream I ever had was a baby dream
sleeping on some haybales by my elephants

I dreamed I had become a daddy
did I miss my chance?

probably not to late for you to join
next time the circus comes to town
ask around people always walking off the job
Cuneo was in DC when his elephant driver quit
he was desperate to hire somone to drive that truck
all kinds of jobs, some involve just driving pickups
or animal grooms
maybe you could get a couple of cobras and develope a snake charmers act iwth your magic flute

Say Clay

Thinking about what else I have missed

A woman's smile.

Just what the hell does it mean when you are in bed together and she is smiling and saying no.

I figured it meant no :?

no need to answer this

just wondering

I think I might know more about lions and tigers and bears than I do about women

What an Awesome woman
She had this picture on her bedroom wall
But her hair was a redder red

For thirty years I wondered about the picture
Then last year I was reading a book called
Deliberate Regression,
And there it was
Millias’
Mariana
Inspired by a poem by Tennyson
The inspiration for this painting came from Tennyson’s poem Mariana (1830), itself derived from Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure. Mariana has been rejected by her fiancé Angelo and leads a solitary life in a moated grange. Millais shows her torn between spiritual seclusion and feelings of physical yearning. The large silver vessel on the altar appears again in The Bridesmaid and the drawing St Agnes’ Eve in this room, both of which also depict erotic longing.
