flip-sides are a great thing
on the A side you would put the commercial tune
and on the B side you would put the real tune

that's how Rhythm and Blues got it's name
on one side they would put the rhythm tune and on the other side the blues.

An iPod is smaller than a 45
and it holds hundreds of tunes (flip-side too)

I am not a Liz Phair fan. I think she's god awful.

Just my opinion.

Hey, can't help expressing it sometimes.

I know she's gotta fan base. I just can't figure out how.

Even I sing better than that.

I did know she had a fan base.

I thought ony Bush had a fan base.

I like that song

Watched my nephew's girlfriend's daughter playing "Bride"

She had it all planed

All she needed was a little statue of a groom to put on the cake.

What do I know about singing

oh lordy clay here I go again

When I was young girls played house.

And boys played cowboys and indians, war heroes, cops and robbers. Whatever the game it was always the same

Bang bang, your dead
fall down with a smile on your face
cause it was fun to play dead.

Girls played better games.

I am a fool
I know nothing about marriage

She was a college senior, tall and willowy she liked me in a friendly kind of way, we worked together at the drive in movie back around the time I first started posting to litkicks. She gave me a compilation CD she made of music she liked. That song was on there.
She probably had lousy taste in music cause this song was on there too.

I cried for him.

A gifted artist and a med student

He painted pictures of his beautiful red haired wife with a tail and horns, flames all around her. Devil woman.

He told me that aliens were after him trying to make him change his chromosomes. If he did not do it they would make him take his own life.

I was in Massachusetts when I got the word the aliens finally got him.

I suppose he had some gender issues.

I was no help to him, all I could think to say is:
"If I were you I would change my chromosomes."

I know one marriage that is so perfect. In thirty three years I have not heard one unkind word between that man and wife. And I know them well, I lived with them on and off when I was taking a break from the road.

I am sure there are other successful marriages.

I am done with my inanities now Clay
I appreciate your tolerance

What a dream job that was. I was the projectionist. I can't tell you how much I love movies.

The young woman who gave me the CD, her name was Greta.

She came in one night with her hair done up in braids coiled around her head like Sandra Bullock in the move that was showing that week end.
Miss Congeniality

I complemented her on her hair do. We both liked that movie a lot. The beginingg when the little girl kicks the school yard bullies ass. We both like that bit a lot.

Greta had a little sister a high school kid. That kid must have bought her brasieres from Madonna cause she had the points. I could not stay out of her way. During the movie I would come out to help at the concessioan stand which was located in the back of the projection booth. It was crowded behind the counter, but even so, Greta never had any trouble moving by me with out touching, but her sister would jam against me always had her her self pressed up against me no matter how hard I tried to dodge her. I guess I could not hide my lying eyes. Every one thought it was funny as hell. But I was embarrassed.

Marriage is a sadomasochistic couple, sanctioned by God.

marriage is

throwing out the trash in the middle of the night.

salad in bowls with utensils.

turning drinking into a guilty pleasure or escape.

I only got close to being married once clay
my only chance in this life
we met at her sweet sixteen party
we went steady all through high school
got engaged when we graduated.
She wanted to get married right then
but my mother was against it
no girl was good enough for her baby boy
(one of the most chilling sceenes in birdman of alcatraz was when his mother put the kabash on his parole because she did not want him to marry that woman)
I am nothing if not a mama's boy
so I said no to my sweet heart

there it is
how do you know these things
when you are 18

So now I am praying for the end of time

That is his wife singing I did not know that. I wonder if they are still married.

Some men need a wife so they got someone to blame for what goes wrong in their life.

Let men tremble to win the hand of woman, unless they win along with it the utmost passion of her heart! Else it may be their miserable fortune, as it was Roger Chillingworth's, when some mightier touch than their own may have awakened all her sensibilities, to be reproached even for the calm content, the marble image of happiness, which they will have imposed upon her as the warm reality
Marriage, what has love got to do with it?
