Destiny schmestiny.
I wonder, will I be wondering if I did it right....
I think more that I'll be wondering if I missed anything.....heh.

I get those thoughts sometimes, that I might not wake up tommorrow.
Then I think how embarrassing it would be to be found dead.
Then I think that the thought about being embarrassed to be found dead is more interesting than the thought about not waking up....

Most of all, I find myself wanting to drop the burden of "time" all together.
I mean sure, you hafta play the game of it, but really, time is a burden, much like a destiny seems a burden to me.
Course, I could change my mind in the next "minute", (if you will...)

in my opinion, this is a matter for super robot girl. only srg (super robot girl) has the trans-dimensional capabilities and the hyperspatial wherewithal to fathom out questions of such extraterrestrial magnitude. compared to her - we are sorry ass pikers in search of a helix.

ah, connie

there is something you don't understand about SRG
it's her dirty little secret, all super-heroes have one
you know, like Superman and the kryptonite thing
call it a tragic flaw

But here's what you don't know:
Super Rocket Girl is not a pure-bred robot
she is partly human, on her mother's side
but she is afraid of her mortality
so she wears that shiny suit

connie in your dreams tex.
it's super robot girl, not super rocket girl. that error casts doubt on your
secret "knowledge" such as it may be.

sorry connie, I get my super-hero girls confused sometimes

(there have been so many)

I think it's my vulnerability that draws super-hero girls to me
what do you think?
there's something about being an unabashed mortal that attracts super-hero girls. They are fascinated by humanity, at least for awhile.

i do not presume to know the ways of super robot girl - by such arrogance you will bring about the judgment of the gods. then you will truly be worthy of your name.

it's Pride that draws the wrath of the gods, not arrogance

and yes, when the gods are angry and throwing bolts,

you need a lightning rod

(no super powers involved)

I think constantine is right wireman
going to take SuperRocketGirl to answer this riddle wrapped in an enigma

IBM's Deep Thought computer is a mere abacus compared to her silicon brain.

I am Super Robot Girl. I don't know who Super Rocket Girl is.

I am currently on holiday in Polarissima Australis. I was summoned to reply to this cyber request through a massive gravitational telepathic message.

Upon my return from holiday, I will activate the galactic nuclei in my hydrogen disc to accurately calculate the probability of predestination.

Report will follow.

Predestination & free will are both equally probable & and mutually existent. The "problem" is that the former denies pride in any form and the latter encourages pride in all its forms. Free will tends to get more airplay & always has since it is a crowd pleaser. Predestination suffers the more assaults since it implies man's true place in the scheme of things and it's spokesmen have met more often with violence & death than the champions of free will. All that I have read on this thread comes down to politics and by politics I mean, truly, what each person is, in the end, comfortable with. Yet there is something here transcendent of politics.
When it comes to free will what I see is this: wherever & whenever & however free will operates, when an individual dies its capacity for free will also dies - free will is subject to death. Since that is true, what else might it be subject to? Just saying.

oh boy how much choice?
I would like to believe I may not have a choice about when, but I think I got plenty of choice as to where.

that's a nice can of worms you give me,
sounds like you teach an honors course in philosophy professor. 8)

I was just picking at some threads, I got gaps in my education you could drive a truck through. My personal politics run towards the quantum mechanical. but I am nothing but a google poser. My only regret about my twelve year career as a college sophomore is I wimped out on the math, I would like to get more out of Bertrand Russell, but I can't do the math. e_dog says Russell parodies himself. I have not figured out his views on Einstein during the 1920's, did he change his views later on in his career?

Not a pop quiz just wondering out loud.

thanks for writing

Cans of worms are my specialty, stilltrucking, thanks for noticing...can't help with your question though since I only know of these two men in passing & not in depth...I started to search out there on Google for an answer to your question but Google is always big trouble for me when I go because it always tempts me with tangents...its all those links...screws me up invariably every time...its a good thing we have Super Robot Girl to save us from ourselves and rid us of all that cookie baggage that adheres to us from our travels...

:
in responce to my question about Bertrand Russel's view of Einstein's thought experiments.
, (the two men in passing he is talking about)

ten four me too, Einstein such an interesting dude, everybody names him from creationists to atheists.

that bit about
free will is subject to death. Since that is true, what else might it be subject to? Just saying
Used to be a big fat blood worm for me. Made me think about a a book B.R. wrote back in the twenties "What I believe" I think was the title.
i have listened to it over and over as an audio tape. He might have been writing a parody of himself, for all I know.

well ten four on being tempted
and ten four on Super Robot Girl keeping my hat just the right size for my head.

I copy "cookie baggage" too
my life an open book on the net

I used to be smart about computers.
good chatting with you

thanks for noticing that I noticed.
