Cliches for Finality

Post by Lightning Rod » September 30th, 2008, 7:02 pm

At the end of the day
we're all on the bottom line
the long and the short of it is
we can't escape the fact

after all is said and done
and we have done the math
we've run it up the flagpole
and put it through the bath
gotten down to brass tacks
found the root of the matter
the crux, the salient point
at the end of the day
we sleep or die
at the end of the day
at the end of the day
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

The Poet's Eye

Bottom line, when it comes down to it, when you meet your maker where the rubber meets the road, I'm sure She'll agree that this is a damn good pome.
