okay

Post by SmileGRL » October 21st, 2008, 2:33 pm

i embrace my imperfection
it is okay to be me

even if i am sometimes not my sunny side
even if i am loved differently than what i expected
i will always be me

and that is okay
it is enough
it is what it should be

know thy Self to be thy Self
anything less is not authentic

real peace of mind comes from acknowledging that we don't need to pretend......people that love you are people that love your faults as well as your assets...in other words your friends will love your humanity.....a simple poem that says a lot.....

you may end up where you are heading

I'd embrace your imperfections too. Authentic or not. Love every inch of your humanity twice no three ways 'bout it & more. Frontwards backwards and sideways. We can play pretend all over the place with or without peace of mind. I'll take a real woman over peace of mind anytime anywhere anyway. Silly me. What a cretin I be. With a big fat completely unauthentic zen smile on my face to boot. and yup, it's OK!
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

Fantastic self affirmation! Loving oneself is the key. We would all do well to live by your words my friend. :)
