a woman whom i have known for 15 years and i ran into each other- she said 'what are you doing now?' i said- 'im a bum' it kind of made her smile and she said'oh great!' i loved it- i didnt have to be a super hero or a great intellectual or anyhting- i can see the relief in it- i am quite sure that i am a nomad- that in other lifetimes i wasa great hunter- of buffalo- as in this lifetime i had ben and jerry- and sundance and primo and jess and mike and mamasita - 7 i had- they had babies and had me tamed- in no time-six years i lived with the buffalo- and now it seems i live with a tribe- that often is suffering in many ways to put it kindly-gentle medicine=
it is 12 and the place is finally cleared- i waited nine days and a houseguest for this-useless- call me crazy- what exactly did she mean by useless- =at any rate-i am going to exhale and believe that this quiet is all mine- for me-

I think it was said partly from affection & partly cold truth - yeah bettas are slimeballs - if you go off three days when you come back you won 't even be able to see the critter in all that scuz water - i hear betta piss can be used as a slow acting poison - I decided it was not for me to have bettas - I'm a procrastinator - betta owners have to be on top of things - how did you come to live in a barn? Wait! No! don't tell me - i'd rather story the truth of that to myself - Ha - you are just too too much ya know - 8)

Damn - almost 7 a.m. and still kinda dark out there - and rain - again - snow has not fallen yet and I believe I already have cabin fever - I have to find my winter coat - and pulldown hat - I have one of those hood hats around here somewhere - you know the kind - what make you look like you come from outta Mongolia - riding with the Khan - hell yeah - hey Buffalo hunter - you get the chance send me a buffalo robe - can you imagine the sight of a man riding a bike in the winter wearing a genuine buffalo robe ? Ha! just call me Ol' Rolls On Snow!

i have to put plastic sheet poetry across all the windows soon - plastic poetry works pretty good at keeping the wind out - keeping the wind out gets important up here in the winter - may get in a ride this afternoon - it's chill out there but the wind is almost quiet - walking out to get the mail I wondered how the years got so fast ...

my father is visiting my brother and his wife who they call 'super hen' i say- if you call me that i will fucking hurt you- what is with the 'bugs in a rug' thing- that is so awful- but that is my father- always with the strange sayings that i could do with out- really-
the many things he has said that strike me as having 'no value' are in fact - what he says- coming from 1945 and thereafter- my mother was a 1936 - vintage- and im a 1957- a whole bunch of cool cars were made that year== lolly gagging- is yet another word that destroys me- and 'treat' like where are the juice and crackers in this day care center?
sometimes in my adventures on the planet i run into some unusual characters- and well- even if i am curious about how they surrvived all this time- i wonder if the real test of time is just to watch the hair turn silver blue and gray and the smile wrinkles increase- investing in cold cremes and eye pencils so i can paint my falling face- eyes go here- earrings there-
but the ones that have rebuilt the empire with various medical procederes really have me wondering- like chicks with implants that take a fall and pop a flat-
you thought bikes were hard to fix- try meeting one of those girls that looks like a race car but runs like shit

be careful or your kit will get jammed in your kaboodle and your rug bugs will gag your lolly until your chickens get home to roost  my mother would use that term "lolly gag" -

Truman was president when I was born - folks both from the '20's - & they been both in the earth now for some time -

people say if they were my age they would at least dye their hair - I think to myself o yeah sure - 18 yr old looking hair on a 60 some odd year old face - right - I've seen others go that route but I want no truck with it - it just looks ridiculous -

nothing anyone does with themselves is ever going to change the circumstances of their death or the location of their grave - not to put too fine a point on it 8)

ring around the rosie -

Once-I was -apricots person-apricots persimmon. Today I ditched a baby shower- I love babies- I don't always think that sitting in a hen house and talking about laying eggs is - what the fuck ever- your entire existence on the planet is about to change- and all the songs of wise women will not change the feeling of having power pusses a watermelon out of heaven onto earth- the children are beautiful- but- hens? I am starting to understand men better- I just went to my tree man and had some- food- tira mi su ...... it is odd- I go make a mess in up.like flat tires and fix a flat- I am in parking lot outside a store- ice cream calls me- I think that any man that wears a shirt that says "getoutofmyface"deserves a certain respect

thanx- it is only one part of a larger one- but i like it one piece at a time- i had a blast today- i went to that big city gym in portland and i worked on everyone of those machines- and then i went in the jacoozy- and then the sauna- was baking it- there are things i want to say that i do not-but i never felt as good as i do there- after all that- my skin is lighted with fires that i wish i knew about when i was a girl- instead of as a woman- my love has changed- it is more like a lace curtain snowflakes and a fire now- it used to be all sizzle and ash-
maybe that deep connection i once felt like that is broken forever- the umbilicle cord i have is hooked up to the sky and i am like a kite fluttering in the wind-
lately i feel like i need someone to buy me a large canvas from ultrecht-i will be 56- and i tried to get my ma to do it- she wont though- it will be me-

Large canvas - huge playground ! I'm envious! When I want a big place to play I head down to the lumber store or Lowe's or someplace like that and buy me a 4' by 8' sheet of masonite fiberboard - sometimes I have it cut into sections and other times leave it whole - so I get a big space to play on the cheap - can't afford the ready-made canvas of such size - I bring it back here to the lodge and make like Godzilla in the rose garden on it - BIG FUN :!: I go Mongolian Hoard on it from end to end - I PAINT ! > > > SUPER NOVA HUGE BOOMS !

Heavy-Duty-Medicine - yeah ! 8)

i am thinking that you are on to something there- but because it is my birthday- i kind of have to go with the ready made- that ole dec 5th needs some recognition-the gray is here again- i suppose you could call it the morning fog or mist- but i really am just going to have to love it - because it isnt going anywhere-my day is solo- coffee is fabulous- got the heat turned up- and all - as soon as she leaves- i will make a fire in the fireplace- she gets hot and tells me to look at the thermostatt- i tell her- that the point of a fire is to get on down- into it- sweat a lil - melt with the embers- turn to ash- it is a metamorphis- which is why it is pointless to burn a fire with her- she needs the kind that is like a light switch on the wall- real pretty, but worthless-i think that i am discovering -over time that there are people that are just robotic- they rolls around using a few nuts and bolts but really only do a few moves-like a wind up toy-
same gears turning over and over- not much action- oh well- and as soon as the suggestion of the perimiter increases or gets larger- the idea is shut down- because only those gears work see-
maybe- for them it is true-

maybe - i think it's more a security thing - most folks take security over freedom anytime - especially if they have figured out that freedom is going to cost them in comfort or safety -

i'm waiting for the rain to stop - another bike-less day looks like - a friend tells me I should buy one of those stationary bikes so i can keep my fitness up over the winter - I said WHAT? What gets into people's heads astonishes me - I said " You think I'm in it for the fitness? YOU POOR LEFT-BRAINER - I'M IN IT FOR THE POETRY! I'M IN IT FOR THE RIDE - I'M IN IT FOR THE WIND IN MY EYES & THE BUGS IN MY MOUTH! I'M A RIDER-WITHOUT-AGENDA!

just like I was when I was a kid -

anyways maybe your right and I should accept the rain the way you accept the mist -
don't know if I want to make it that way though - it's just the romantic in me 8) Last thing I want to do is sit in a room making a wheel go round & round & not have the wind of my own motion to accompany me -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idDjgIIKf6o

enjoy the mist - 8)
