The New Yorker is being very irresponsible by publishing that cover.

If they felt so compelled to use the cover to make a point, then adding a caption, "Some people believe the most ridiculous lies" might have helped.

Even then, though, for the New Yorker? Distasteful.

I heard a sound bye last night aboot his statement on the PBS News Hour.

I seemed have developed a Canadian accent

I just googled it... and all I found what a campaign spokesperson said

"The New Yorker may think, as one of their staff explained to us, that their cover is a satirical lampoon of the caricature Senator Obama's right-wing critics have tried to create," said Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton. "But most readers will see it as tasteless and offensive. And we agree."

I haven't found any statement Obama made himself yet.

Right. I heard wrong, it was someone on his campaign staff. when asked about it Obama shrugged his shoulders and said "I have no response to that." I was going with what one of the talking heads said.

I was listening to some talk on the radio about it and some think it's all good because it is causing conversations and the idiot people who believe that nonsense will learn the truth finally.

Who knows. Maybe that's true.

I still think it's in poor taste.

I doubt if the bear will ever read the new yorker to find out what it was about. I am still not sure I have convinced him that Obama is not a muslim. The same folks who put out the John Kerry Purple Heart band aids at the republican convention are going to have a ball with that picture.
