when the sky gets all gauguin, and the post-post-impressionists have been dreaming too much, as is their fatal flaw, i just remember the iliad and james joyce and the pointlessness of a loud color like a daisy, and i remember the shipyards and their gunmetal gray, a much more solid approach.
