I just woke up from a nap thinking of Georg Trakl and your comment about poetry not being destructive enough.

what a heavy ass poem. thanks. i've heard of him, but never read any of his work.

sorry I deleted the poem because of all the dam pop ups on that site I will put it back if you want me to.

Not only Trakl but many more of those circa world war one poets. Dead in their twenties. The war or suicides.

Only Rilke survived it seems.

Probably just another one of my half assed opinions

same with the visual artists of that period. to be on the cusp of a new world only to have it end in a meat grinder must be rather traumatic.
