dearest ton. with your shock emote, as well as your provocative bait of "not caring" how could I desist a simple response. :)

your "fundamentally predicated assumption" is simply incorrect.

my care, whilst writing, is to express myself passionately through my chosen creative medium, in a fashion that does it best, for me. should others connect, directly or in some other way, is a valued added bonus. should they not, that is beyond my control.
its as simple and honest and passionate as that.

I fully accept any appeal I might have will be limited, but those whom do connect with my poetry are extremely valuable to me. for those whom don't, my writing is mine, as is their lack of experience in connectivity in any fashion to my writings, theirs, as yours seems clearly to be.

affirmation is valuable to me as it would be to any artist.

individually or at exhibitions, where, for example I have worked in collaboration with artists to visually create art from the poetry I write, and be jointly presented (visuals with audio readings) together, at various galleries, affirmation can be quite heady; giddy stuff.

I certainly care deeply about being affirmed.

but is definitely NOT a "predicated assumption" to which I address myself to fulfil. it is certainly not my artistic impulse, or I may simply spew out hallmark type poetry for mass appeal. for approvals sake. but as I repeat, that neither my intent nor impulse in writing.

again. thanks for being provocative and caring enough for at least a second dance together.
I will, I hope you understand, not respond to your earlier indictments, for reasons already traversed.

love n peace and good music and all that stuff to you.

If I may...having the idea of Andy Warhol actually sipping the soup out of the Campbell can rocks my world enough for me to sit down and pay attention to such wordage.

I'd even pay a buck or two to see it through ;)
