Finally, Deb, this little piece of "healing mischief" is something I recommend.
I am a fan of many of Mack White's comix, and recommend his website generally.
But "Cindy, the Tattooed Sunday School Teacher" certainly comes under the heading of "healing mischief" for me:

Hi Hester,
…"Sure, it's new, this poverty, this neediness, this constant worry about the rent, the food, my daughter's education and future …” -- I still don’t understand. How come, what happened? Did your local government claim “Eminent Domain” of your property ~ or something?
What ever the reasons, I hope things open up for you and your family, soon.
May your “authentic life” soon include good food, friends, and solid finances – joyously sharing themselves around your table!

Hi Zlatko,
Yeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh ….
Ain't healing mischief’s FUN!
Ummmmmmmmm!
Great line!!!!! That’s a keeper.Put the fun back in fundamentalism? That is, if you've allowed it to be taken it out.
My life is more authentic now than it ever was. Sure, it's new, this poverty, this neediness, this constant worry about the rent, the food, my daughter's education and future, the plight of we human beings, taken hostage and being pillaged by my government in it's fundamental exclusion of love for power. I'm not taking it well. No. It will grieve me always.

Oh ~ I don’t know about that, but I like her also. I read her column over at Working For Change Org. Here’s her latest … and I hope it doesn’t directly apply to you and your situation!Molly Ivins articulates much better than I:

Molly Ivins is one of the best writers around most of the time. She doesn't mince words or play the games. She also, has a good understanding of what it's like to have nothing, or no one to fall back on in these days of continual losses due to the theft so rampant, by my/your government these days.
She makes me feel less alone and less unrepresented, i.e.,
less forgotten....
She gets it.
She doesn't look the other way.
I appreciate that very very much.
