...
I suppose it is just age Mark, I have seen it so many times, Hegel was wrong, everything does not happen twice, it happens over and over, history repeats, but even so it gets a little better, it gets a little worse.

We are so unprepared the 9/11 report said, so little has changed, we are not safer, and his friends prove him right, see we fight them over there so we don't have to fight them here. I am so crazy mark, I think Osama will save the day for him, he must love Bush, like playing gin with someone who you can beat everytime.

NOt crazy I guess just stoned again

TORTURE, BUSH AND CHENEY AND THE WHOLE SICK CREW

John Dean, former Watergate conspirator, writes an excellent summary of, and argument against, the Bush-Cheney torture cabal.

The shame of America-- that's a good phrase for it . . .

Colonel ( ret.) Karen Kwiatkowski, always witty and intelligent, writes a nice "de-coding" of Bush's recent speech in this column:

You think YOU find George W. Bush less than attractive, moral and bent on the best for the USA?

Try THIS wacko!

Now, George isn't my first choice for my American Poets Against the War Chairman position, but THIS goes pretty darned far . . .

What I like BEST about this "wigout" site is the "evidence" . . .

Re: Kwiatkowski....

Pretty much on target. (Though more outright sarcasm than I'm used to seeing from her).

Re: wacko....

Interesting number crunching.... Huh...

But as I recall, the Antichrist is supposed to be a powerful dictator who emerges to lead Christians into apostasy.... oh, wait a minute....

But then there's that part about mustering an army to attack Israel. But Bush and the fundies/neo-cons are pro-Israel, aren't they?.... Hmmm.... but the fundies also believe that Christianity will win out over Judaism. But Bush would never turn against long-time allies for the sake of unbending (militaristic) dogma, would he?.... oh, wait a minute....

Yeah.....

well, never mind.

Robert Parry offers a nice summary of the current BUSHREICH antics here:

This reintroduction/re-emphasis on security in Bush's latest speech is a little surprising.... as if the speechwriters were gambling on our notoriously short attention-span and memory..... perhaps we'd forgotten about the 9/11 Comm. and Duelfler Reports by now....

Jeez.
