well yes, of course.

Pull out, and pull out hard.

And we should never have pulled in like that.

Seems only common sense.

(Remember that?)

veterans for common sense

stupid to try and put a Korea model into Iraq.
Korea has a unique geography, a peninsula which can be easily divided into north and south

If we had kept large military bases in the former South Vietnam, we would also have had to perpetrate the ecocide in the cleared out areas north and west of Saigon, as well aas the western Delta and the areas inland from the coastal cities from Nha Trang to Hue. And try and interdict the north from sneaking on down as well as suppress urban guerrillas. Plus, guess what? They had our POWs's in Hanoi, so once they were released, we, the good old USA would have not legally been able to renew the bombing of the north.

In Iraq, we can patrol the borders to the west and north and south to try and keep out Al-Qaida, but really trying to patrol the border with Iran is absurd. We will leave with our tails between our legs, the Sunni insurgents will battle against Al-Qaida, Iran will help restore peace in the Shihite areas, and Condi Rice's oil company will not reap the dividends of a privatised neo-colonial empire.\

George W Bush wants to save face; his head is up his ass.

get out and repair the damages (hard to define the last one).
