I try to do both
but not at the same time.
I'm smarter than that.

We went to the river.
We visited a friend.
It's his Ovation with steel
strings. My fingertips are
still sore.
It sounded really bad,
you can be sure.

most of the week

lil kid with a ball from the
five and dime,
history rains this sunday
morning, as i think about
that tom thumb train,
pullin out on tracks 150+
years ago just a couple
blocks away,
train horns echo this morning
above the pitter-pattering rain........

friday on a monday
mortar blasts from
the alley rain pebbles
on the roofs....not funny
the dog freaks and
hides under the bed,
insanity or ignorance
who's to say?....luckily
we've had a lotta rain
lately and there were
no fires like last year
when i watched a house
go up in flames at the
end of the alley out back
the guy who lived there was
shooting off fireworks
happy 4th of july...play safe!

Nothing funny about the mortor blasts but the dog cracked me up.
I got a sick sense of humor.
