"NBC Bars Sen. Mike Gravel From Democratic Debate"

Post by e_dog » October 24th, 2007, 2:04 am

"In campaign news, former Senator Mike Gravel is protesting a decision by NBC News to bar him from next Tuesday's debate at Drexel University in Philadelphia. NBC said it made the decision in part because Gravel hadn't raised over one million dollars. Gravel said "The fact that NBC is owned by General Electric, one of the world's leading military contractors, is frightening and certainly smacks of censorship directed at the most outspoken critic of the influence that the military-industrial complex holds over this great nation."

The militario-indutrial-entertainment industree has struck again. Did you know these crooks were owners of NBC? So they have incentive to cover war for profit. Fuck capitalismo.
I don't think 'Therefore, I am.' Therefore, I am.

It's the DNC, man, not necessarily General Electric.
We have a local Democratic congressional campaigner, a woman, Samm Simpson, who got 55,000 votes in the last congressional election against long time powerhouse Republican incumbant, Bill Young. She only has a little cash, is a former biz executive, a progressive, and anti-Iraq war, all the documented professional qualities, and a formidable debater, speaker, tireless. As far as this next election goes, the DNC policy is the same. They require a campaign chest of a large quantity of dollars before they will send DNC funding into a local candidates coffers. She will get nada from th dumbocratic national committee.
It's ok. Kuchinich and Richardson will holler at the divas.
you're right tho,
it is a censure.
He missed anoher previous debate as well.
then was back for another.
Me, am gonna vote for Richardson and give up a little dough for him as well. Old Mike is a bit gravvely around the edges. Would make a nice pair with ron Paul. Both of them wanna do away with the IRS.

Mebbe you are right about General Electric, but methinks is th DNC and howling Howard Dean.

I gotta go do some exercise meditations.

Perhaps both, but regardless, it stinks.
