I crack the ice
with my long enamel-less teeth
taste the audible crunch,
glass shards
that cut the tongue,
I snap my jaw
like a pit bull on a slab
of beef hanging in a tree
I store my ideas in Tupperware
oxygen out
til the time is right, words
that may or may not
go together tossed in the corner
with the dust motes,
stacks of penned paper
compressed bricks,
cosmic flashes of light
raw and bleeding fragments
the jet stream of inked vomit,
transcendental ore
in need of refining
nuggets of the unfettered mind
when a supernova comes-a-callin'
just sitting there
disheveled and unkempt
with the spiders and stinkbugs,
piles of possibilities
looking for love,
and a reason to live
piles of possibilities
piles of possibilities
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
you may end up where you are heading
Re: piles of possibilities
mind nuggets of the unfettered supernova up - spider showing !
reason to live ? - next breath !
Tupperware breakout with dust motes !

Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.
Re: piles of possibilities
you've carved out images overlapping images,
concealed in plastic until the next resurrection
and it's all been for other eyes to behold
in fascination for the sublime crook in us all,
humming tunes made out of monuments to memory,
standing in the dark shadows of tomorrow's nightfall.
concealed in plastic until the next resurrection
and it's all been for other eyes to behold
in fascination for the sublime crook in us all,
humming tunes made out of monuments to memory,
standing in the dark shadows of tomorrow's nightfall.

Re: piles of possibilities
There is a woman
I met recently
That walked up to me
And said" no one here gets it that I want to check out"
I thought back to how many people
I took to the emergency rooms
That they rang my doorbell
And told me they had taken pills
I thought I had a sign on my forehead" don't do it"
Now I understand what that sadness
Was all about
It taught me to really look into people's eyes
To cultivate compassion
Since humans are always
Looking for a reason
To stay
Let me say
That life can be groovy
All over again--
I would not lie
About that... Lol

reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

Re: piles of possibilities
The poem is the thread
the thread is in the heart of the poets who live the poetry
every moment holds new love
sorrow barrows time from all it meets
so often we dance alone as our dreams keep the beat
then to share this space with fellow travelers is amazing
for me it is to breath
