Beautiful Madness

He sat in front of his laptop
in a tattered robe
and unkept hair.

Sometimes he wore
different hats to get in touch
with his characters.

He muttered about bad
lines then deleted
a whole page of writing.

Chain smoking, mumbling to himself
while pacing the attic room
then ...

Absolutely LOVE this. Reminds me a bit of Bukowski. You rock!

Thank you all so much, I'm not sure who did the picture a friend of mine sent it to me for a picture challenge write. Glad you liked the poem. Sorry I have not been around, I fell on the ice Tuesday night and my arm is in a sling.

Wow love your mind, I could never come up with all this with one word. I read something this reminded me of. It was the most powerful word in American language. The word was "shit". Yours is even better. I enjoyed this.
