down the road
the wind begging
for release
you can see it
struggling to get free
from the trees
you can feel it pawing
your face
searching
for compassion
your seashell of an ear
can feel it whip through
your soul
soul?
the wind
Down The Road

Re: Down The Road
interesting, that feeling of restlessness in the soul like wind- never can hold it down, it is so vaporous- like the mystery of fire and love-

reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

Re: Down The Road
a million mile poem

thank for writing.
A restless soul in the wind. a live forever feeling in the wind.
When I was living on the road and I was passing through some town where I had a few friends, it was hard to get back into the truck after a few days off. This was a million mile song for me. It got me out of town and on the road again. Sorry this is only a coincidence of titles but your poem brought the song to mind.
